The Presentation.
I have to do my presentation tomorrow. I am not nervous about it yet. I will be by 9 am tomorrow. For my creative project I have written a story about a serial killer. The serial killer is a mixture of many killers I have read about during my research. I don't know if a story about a serial killer is something people can enjoy, but I hope you find it interesting. I hope I put a creative spin on it.

Almost over.
This semester is almost over. I have a lot of homework and studying to do this week. I have decided to redo some of my final project so we will see how that goes on Friday. Over all it has been an alright semester. I've had two challenging class. I have gotten behind on my blog and so I will be posting a couple more posts this week. I am starting to worry about my grades like I always do near the end of the semester.

Missed class
So I missed class on Friday because I was having car problems. I am bummed to find out that extra credit was given out for people who made it to class and stayed the entire time. I did do my research at home though and am starting to feel a lot better about the creative project. My problem when writing papers is usually finding a subject and actually getting started on the paper. Once I get started things usually flow pretty well. I may have to try to stretch things out a little to meet the required number of pages, but I don't hate it as much as I use to.

Sometimes it just comes to you.
It has been a while since I was able to post anything on this blog. But I have been a little overwhelmed with my classes, my job, and family stuff.
My last post was about the creative project. I couldn't really figure out how to research either idea and come up with a good paper and project. So when Ms. Denham said she likes researching serial killers, I thought Ah ha, I can do that. It fits in perfectly with Jekyll and Hyde. I have to admit I didn't really like reading Jekyll and Hyde. Someone in class said that the book was lame and I have to say that is the only way to describe the book. You hear all the hype about this book and then you read it and it isn't really that great. I thought there would be more suspense, more action, more anything that would make me want to keep reading.

Clueless
I am clueless. I have no idea what to do for our creative project. The creative part I can handle, but what am I going to research and what will my subject be? I did have one idea that came to mind while I was reading Frankenstein. After a lot of thought I abandoned that idea. I will share it with you anyway though. It was about the value society puts on beauty. In Frankenstein Elizabeth is good, she is put upon a pedestal by everyone that knows her because of her beauty. The monster is ugly so of course he is the evil villain. I can't figure out how I would research something like that. . .
Just write it out, okay so I know this is weird but stay with me on this. Have you ever been told when you can't figure something out to just write it out? When I have a problem I put pen to paper and my thoughts just start flowing incorrect grammar and misspelled words but it always helps. I was writing the post above and I was getting ready to start typing about a big research project I have to do for another class this semester. I'm doing a project about Sally Mann. She is a fascinating photographer. I just watched a documentary about her(thank you MelCat) when "light bulb" Sally Mann photographed a series of decomposing bodies and called it "What Remains" she was set to show the collection at an exhibit in New York, but it was abruptly canceled. Maybe that can be my starting point if I do go ahead with the value of beauty idea.

Frankenstein
I have to admit that I didn't love the book Frankenstein, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and it was a million times easier to read and understand than The Prince. The beginning of the book was slow, but once it picked up I got pulled into the story. I had never read the book before or paid much attention to the movies. Before we find out who the murder of Victors brother is, I kept expecting it to be someone else not the monster. Even after we find out that the monster is the killer, I still like him more than I like Victor. I think it's because the monster is honest he tells Victor that he killed his brother and that he was going to kill everyone else that Victor cares about. Victor on the other hand keeps everything to himself, he doesn't warn his family that there is a monster out there waiting to kill them. He is to wrapped up in himself, he never stands up and does the right thing.

Angie by The Rolling Stones.
Yes, it's true I was named after the song "Angie" by The Stones. I have never been a big fan of the Rolling Stones, and I really hate the song "Angie". I don't like how Mick Jagger says the name at the beginning. I don't find the music appealing at all. There are very few songs that I actually hate, but this song is definitely at the top of my list. I have hated it from the first time I remember hearing it. It annoys me when people will sing my name like it is sung in the beginning of the song. My first impression of this song was that "My parents seriously named me after this song? Yuck!" and that still holds true today. I just don't like it.
